Moving to a foreign country can be an intimidating experience for many international students. Aside from coping with language
difficulties, these students also have to find ways to adapt to an unfamiliar environment. Oxford Language School will help you in making this transition in a
much easier, not to mention, more exciting and fun way!
This course will prepare international students for Canadian post-secondary (college / university) reality and for increased awareness of the overall
Canadian culture. Students will be given the opportunity to visit a number of sightseeing destinations and attractions throughout the Great Toronto
Area and/or Ontario, including the CN Tower, Niagara Falls, Ontario Place, Casa Loma, Royal Ontario Museum, The Toronto Zoo, Ontario Science Centre,
Paramount Canada¡¦s Wonderland, and so on. What¡¦s the first thing you should do when you arrive in Toronto? Simple: just push play. With record-breaking
attractions, museums, galleries, special sites, theme parks, markets and our very own island, your biggest challenge will be trying to fit it all in!
This workshop helps students build and develop strong speaking and listening skills (along with systematic pronunciation practice) in order to be able
to succeed in communicative situations in and out the classroom setting. While offering opportunities to practice all four language skills, the emphasis
in this course is on speaking and listening with frequent role-plays, team work, conversation-based activities designed to help students to relate the
language being studied to their own work experience and plenty of opportunities to interact with people in the community with wide experience in the
business field.
